Introduction:
It is always a pleasure to be invited by the Nigerian Bar Association to speak at the Annual General Conference. These are important events not just for continuing legal education, but also because they provide an opportunity for members of the Bar from different jurisdictions within the Country and with diverse practices to come together, to discuss issues of common challenges and opportunities within the profession. As always, the leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association should be commended for putting together what from all available indications is an excellent conference program. I hope we will also take the opportunity today to discuss some of the broader issues that the Legal profession is facing now and future challenges.
